Overtime or Extra Innings:

Pool Play games can end in a tie-

Bracket Play - we must have a winner.  We will play the runner on 2nd rule for extra innings (The runner placed on second base at the start of each half-inning in extras is the player in the batting order immediately preceding that half-inning's)

Home team: If they are the same seed from different pools for playoffs we will do a coin toss before the game to see who is the home team.  This will be done for all game if both teams are the same seed and on the same side of the bracket (winner or loser).  Championship game – home team will be the team that hasn’t lost yet (winner side of bracket)  If there needs to be an “If Game”  coin toss will determine the home seed.  Coins toss will be done by site supervisor and head coaches. 

An inning ends when the last out happens.  If there is time on the clock when the out happens there will be another inning played (if needed)

No team can score more then 5 runs in an inning.  If the home team is down by 6 runs when the time ends the game will be over.

The Northern Utah Recreation Departments who have combined to make this tournament happen are excited about the opportunity to provide All-Star Recreation Baseball & Softball. Sportsmanship of the highest degree is expected and demanded. Criticism of players, coaches and umpires will not be tolerated. Those engaging in negative behavior toward these individuals will be asked to leave the game site.

Rules
