The players will be playing with a 27.5 basketball and on 9' baskets.

The games will follow all CIAC HS rules with adjustments for this age level. 

 

GYM RULES: No food or drinks other than water is allowed. No bouncing of basketballs in hallways. No one is allowed to roam in any of the schools that we use. Adults are responsible for their own behavior and that of non-playing children brought to games and practices. 

 

Sportsmanship and Player, Coach & Spectator Behavior

The Sterling House youth basketball league is a recreational league that promotes fun, development, participation and sportsmanship; official records and standings are not kept in the Grade 7/8 Division. All team members must play at least 1/2 of every game. 

Spectators are encouraged to cheer for all players, regardless of team affiliation. Negative comments, coaching players, taunting players, criticizing referees, and any other poor sportsmanship will not be allowed and can lead to ejection from the gym.

Let the coaches coach, let the referees officiate, and let the players HAVE FUN and PLAY.
